DIY Car Deodorizer

Finding ways to use essential oils in place of toxic cleaners opens up many doors. Did you know that exposure to toxic cleaners can raise the chances of asthma, cancer, allergies, and reproductive or developmental toxicity (Environmental Working Group)?

Using essential oils to create your own household cleaners and sprays can help eliminate these toxins from your every day life.

Car Deodorizer

This recipe will help eliminate lingering odors in your vehicle!

3/4 cup water

1/4 cup vinegar

6 drops lavender

4 drops lemon

4 drops wild orange

2 drops peppermint

Combine all ingredients into a small spray bottle (about 8 ounces), and shake well. Hold the spray bottle about 6-8 inches away from surfaces, and lightly mist upholstery and carpeting. Leave the windows and doors open for 15 minutes after spraying, if possible.
